Behind the Scenes
This project was created completely frame by frame in Adobe Photoshop. We both wanted to explore a story that goes through the small moments that keep us close together as best friends. This led to the idea of having our pets represent us during these stories which created so many fun opportunities for designs.
After many days of exploring design directions, we decided to create a piece that had tons of boil & texture creating a fun casual atmosphere. We wanted to create a sense of chaos!

Initial Character Designs
Our exploration was all about character designs and how those designs would move. We wanted to see how simple we can go to how complicated. In the initial sketches, we wanted to see what we liked best but then we had to consider how these designs limit our story. It was a lot of trial and error until we reached a conclusion.
We always knew that we wanted them both to have boots even though you barely see them in the story.
